In the early 80′s Roy Thomss came up with a proposal to revamp Captain Marvel as a black person. It never happened but it would have been interesting to see. I think something like this could have gotten the character out of Superman’s shadow. Sometimes you have to step out of the box if you want to elevate the character to the A list instead of a B-lister who can only seem to generate enough interest to warrant a mini-series every now and then. You have to admit that most people think the character is a just another version of Superman

I’m familar with Ms Rambeau. also known Photon. I think shes going by Pulsar now. You can read about her currently in Marvels “Next Wave” title.
Where did you find this? Sometimes I’m amazed at what one can find on the internet.
Today I thought about Black Vulcan, the brother from the Superfriends/ JLA ‘toons from back in the day.I know that he is unrelated but I wanted to give him some shine.
Its a shame that they wouldnt use Black lighting in the Superfriends cartoon. They made up Black Vulcan to keep from paying Tony Isabella (Black Lightnings creator) royalties.
Like the previous comment, where do you find that information? Not just wikipedia?
I know it mentioned here. Ill have to do some searching to find a more detailed explanation
