An Academy Award nominated actor, powerful screen presence, the physicality is there, the accent, an active diverse resume, dates Kimora Lee. Its a safer pick than an unknown but I am sure he could carry a leading role. I think they should go with a unknown actor similar to the way they found Brandon Routh for Superman. It makes me realize the lack of black actors in Hollywood. Its the same people getting cast over and over again.
