Which is why I tend to agree with Sweet Christmas, Cages urban setting could be easier to sell to a studio, it could be billed as a Hip Hop/Adventure Movie. I don't know if Luke Cage is well known enough for it to be as successful as a potential Black Panther movie. I think it would be an easier sell to those who don't know who Black Panther is. I would personally rather see a Black Panther movie before I would want to see Luke Cage. My reasoning is that the budget for Cage will probably be smaller than a Panther film. Cage will benefit from the synergy of Hip Hop and Fanboys. Which makes it more of a sure thing. I think that if Singelton can make a succesful Cage film it will be easier to get a bigger budget to do a Panther film the right way. I think they should make Luke Cage first. I love the panther but he isnt a mainstream icon like batman or superman with a built in audience. That being said everybody knows who Blade is after the triology so its possible for other characters to get there moment in the sun.
