All that initial rating means is that there was interest in the show. I haven't seen the numbers lately, but with Dr. Who averaging around 900,000 viewers, I doubt Flash is getting any more than that.

I agree with everything you said. However, I think that they could do the show on a minimalist budget. Just use the same sets used now and just change the writing. The Capemen was stupid. I like your idea of just having a "tribe" so to speak that has a Hawk as the totem, flying needed not be necessary.

As far as ratings go it started out with 2.1 million viewers on the first episode becoming the strongest premier of a sci fi series this year. And I wouldn't be surprised that its still around the 1.5 to 2 million mark because people are expecting it to get better and Friday nights tend to be good to the Sci Fi channel.

I am going to watch it unless there's a college football game worth watching going on.

I agree with most of what you said. I will give them a little slack on the budget thing. I don't think they have the same budget as Atlantis or BSG. I think the suits wnated to do it on the cheap. If they do have the same budget,I want to know what the hell their spending it on. I'm really curious to see what the rating are for the show.
