Star Trek Villain Cast

Source: Variety

Eric Bana (Hulk, Munich) has been cast as the villain in the upcoming Star Trek Movie. Set to open Christmas Day 2008, J.J. Abrams (Alias) has promised to deliver big names for the villain and for Capt. Kirk. Bana’s a pretty big name. (Kirk has yet to be cast.)

Bana joins Anton Yelchin (Chekov), Zachary Quinto (young Spock), Zoe Saldana (Uhura) and Leonard Nimoy (Spock). Details of the plot have been classified “Top Secret.”

Bana is a good choice for a villain.  Now they just need to cast someone who can match his intensity to play opposite him in the role of Captain Kirk.

Star Trek needs to be shelved for about 10 years. Actually, five more since that would make 10 years since Star Trek Nemesis. This would be a seriously needed reworking of the franchise.

Im curious as too why you think it should be shelved. I have heard the same thing in several places Where people want it put onthe shelf for 5 to 10 years. If you know how to fix it then why do you need to wait. The only justicfication for waitng is if you think that saturation is the problem.
