Imagine how infuriating it would be if it was the black guy who ruined Adama's command in Season Two, who was the alcoholic and the pushover and allowed his wife to control him. Especially considering the few nonwhite characters that there are on the show (and already how the black men on the show, usually extras, tend to be bad guys in some way.) Also glad that Boomer is a woman (at least they made her asian,) for the same reasons--she shot the commander! Yeah, the show is totally white, but I didn't even notice that about it until a few bad black guys came onscreen, and at least the show crew saved us from having the main problem characters being black. The episode with the Sagittarons and a wave of sickness was a clear stand-in for Jews, but they have no gay characters (one brief lesbian affair with Kane and a version of Six but that's all). If this is the last of the humans, every type of person would be there and with the few episodes left hopefully they'll show more color, more complexity, and more depth to the people who are left and fighting for survival.
