The above picture didn’t come with the story below, but I thought it interesting. I can’t see anyway that the powers that be would had this franchise over to Will Smith. Not that we don’t like Will Smith, in fact, he’s our poster boy for genre actors. Now, if they wanted to do a movie about isaiah Bradley, the first Captain America, then I say go for it. But I am torn over him being cast for Steve Rogers. Part of me says “great, another color blinding cast” and another says, “this can’t be right.” I guess I’ll reserve comment until it happens.
Sphere: Related ContentIf Will Smith has been offered the part, I can’t imagine he won’t take it. He might be busy, but he’s not going to say no because he’s not white enough. Him taking the role would be a seriously big deal in the world of race and mass media, let alone our little nerd/comics world.

Will Smith isn't a good fit. If you’re going with the WWII setting your doing Isaiah Bradley’s story not Steve Rogers. If you’re saying that Captain America is a modern character then maybe, but that doesn't seem to fit in with Marvels announced plans.
This is why casting is harder than people think. You cant just plug in any actor into any role. Its good to have Smith considered but will it happen probably not.

Honestly, I have no problem with colorblind casting, but Will Smith is not Cap. Pay out and get someone like Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, or even some unknown blue eyed blond actor. Colorblind casting was okay for the Kingpin, but it won't work in this case unless like Bedlam said they are going to do Isaiah Bradley. This one should be left alone.
