Here’s a few excerpts:
What was your reaction when you heard that a work print of ‘Wolverine’ had been released on the Web?
Will.i.Am: My first thoughts were that authorities need to move really fast to bring resolution to this madness. In my industry, piracy has crippled and destroyed it. It was a billion-dollar business at one point in time. That’s not the case anymore. There are no more record stores. Four years ago, we had tons of Virgin Mega Stores and Sam Goody stores. Those stores are gone now. Think of all the jobs, from interns to product managers, engineers, studio managers and many more, that are gone because of the piracy in the music industry. Now, it’s affecting the movie business, and the next one to be leaked will probably be something bigger. Our arts that the world loves and celebrates and enjoys are part of the American culture. We need to preserve the art and allow it to strive and continue to be a business. Certain countries are known for their exports, like Columbia is known for their coffee beans. I’m pretty sure their government goes a long way to protect that image. We’re known for our arts, so someone needs to protect what we deliver to the rest of the world
Did you do anything to get into character?
Will.i.Am: Yeah. I put on that outfit. I didn’t have to get all machismo like other dudes. Although it would have been fun to do that, it wouldn’t have been effective. For me, it was more research and bringing in the right emotion to show that bond. What’s cool about my character is that he can be best friends with the baddest of the baddest. He’s humble, but he’s not the sort of dude you want to mess with. He’s approachable and likable.

Just thought I would list a couple of the DVDs being released today. The Star Trek Blu-ray is interesting to me because I wonder how many people have bought these episodes onVHS, then on DVD and now on Blu-Ray. I missed the release of Caprica last week on DVD. I wonder if the DVD first strategy works out better financially for the Sci-fi channel. Im starting to think it does because they have already done it a couple of times with the Stargate DVD’s
Star Trek: The Original Series – Season 1 [Blu-ray]
X-Men, Volume 1 (Marvel DVD Comic Book Collection)

Best issue of last week hands down was Justice League of America #32. It finally feels like the editors at DC have given McDuffie the breathing room he needs to tell the stories he wants. His story arcs have constantly been interrupted or rushed because of a wide line crossover or event. The biggest blow of all was the removal of Superman and Batman from the team due to the events in , and . JLA is suppose to be the flag ship book with the big three as members, now where are down to Dr. Light, Firestorm, Green Lantern, Vixen, and Zatanna. This issue seems like a fresh start and gave us some direction as to the future of the team. The John Stewart and Vixen conversation really showed us, that John is more than just another Green Lantern, he has real leadership skills and he gets why their needs to be a league.

I ran across a petition for Marvel to publish the rest of Christopher Priests Black Panther Run in trade. The only other option is to buy the back issues at a LCS or off of e-bay. The whole run lasted 62 issues.
T’Challa, chieftain of Africa’s Wakanda nation, is known to most of the Marvel Universe as the Black Panther and sometime Avenger. Being the Panther is more than just being a super hero, it also represents something sacred to the Wakandan people. The demands on T’Challa are great but despite his best efforts, Wakanda and its mineral wealth are dragged more and more into the public spotlight.
When T’Challa comes to America, government agent Everett K. Ross is assigned as an escort. He figured it would be easy work and just tailed along with the King’s entourage. However, when the bullets start flying and the super-villains come calling, and political intrigue is discovered back home, Ross is in for the adventure of a lifetime. The Client, Ross’s description of the Panther, befriends the befuddled agent but that may not be such a good thing.

Smallville has been on cruise control until the finally, they basically wasted another episode this time Lois is playing superhero (Stiletto). This season seems to have a problem with pacing. Things where going fine with the setup for the showdown with Clark and Davis (Doomsday) and then they slowed to a crawl . It seems like they couldn’t find away to make the story stretch the whole season, which is why we are seeing a number of throw away episodes.
Heroes has its finally this week, NBC is behind the show so it should be back next season. Every time I think of Heroes, I think of a young baseball pitcher. It was this one year wonder that once held great promise. Now he cant seem to throw a strike and doesn’t know how to fix it. It seems like NBC has decide to leave the show on the mound and hope for the best. They have plenty of great ideas that never seem to hit the target. Hopefully tonight’s episode will at least make it across the plate.
For those of you wondering what to watch during the summer. Syfy will give us new spisodes of Eureka on 7-10-09 and the premiere of Warehouse 13 on July 7th.
New epsisodes for this week are below the break
