The original New Mutants became X-force when Cable took over. Since that book got canceled they have sort of gotten lost in the shuffle of the X-books. The New Mutants aren’t kids any more and they arent the seasoned vetereans like the other X-men. Issue # 1 reminds me why of why I love these characters, especially Cannonball. Cannonball during the 90′s lead the X-force team and he along with the rest “graduated” into X-men. I’m glad writer Zeb Wells decide to write them as X-men and not the junior team. The inclusion of the characters from the New X-men reminds you of what they where and how far they have come as a group. Issue # 1 seems headed in the right direction.
