Well well well…..Now, this is actually a decent trailer.  I had no idea this series of books existed until a movie was announced and I had to ask a friend, Hanako (Confessions of a Grown-up Fangirl), about it.  My interest was not piqued. Then, they released that sorry teaser that told you nothing about the movie.  I still was not interested.   However, a new full length trailer was released. After watching it, I’m interested.  It looks interesting and looks good.  We’ll see.

Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) stars as Peter Parker in the reboot of the Spiderman franchise in The Amazing Spider-Man.  I think this might be better than the 2002 Spider-Man.  Check it out:

The theatrical trailer is now available on Yahoo.  The movie stars Jason Momoa, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan, Rachel Nichols, and Stephen Lang. The movie’s release date is set for August 19, 2011.

A set image and brief promo of Alphas, a new show from Syfy about a group of people with extraordinary powers who fight crime….Malik Yoba headlines the cast.  Hopefully this will turn out better than his previous series on ABC, Defying Gravity.

About a week ago, HBO released a pretty awesome one minute trailer from the new series.  But this behind the scenes look makes me think HBO might have a hit on their hand.  I think the success of The Tudors contributed to HBO taking a chance on this series.  I really hope people check it out.  And again, if Sean Bean, Lena Headey and Jason Momoa  aren’t enough to get you interested, then I don’t know what is.

Here’s a promo for the final season of Smallville.  Hate to see the show leave the air, but I think its time.  I do believe there are 2 or 3 seasons that were entirely unnecessary, but we fans endured.  Season 9 was a stellar season and this promo promises that season 10 will be just as good.

Check out this new trailer from a movie I know nothing about.  I like the image, I like the title, and I like the trailer. The synopsis from the official site:  In the sci-fi thriller Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.

Due in theaters 11-12-10, the movie stars Eric Balfour (Haven, 24), David Zayas (Dexter), Donald Faison (Scrubs), and Brittany Daniel (The Game).

I’m not going to make some smart ass comment about how this looks like a Pelham 1-2-3 Part 2.  But the movie does have three really good reasons to check it out, Denzel Washington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson.  I don’t know what’s up with Denzel and Trains.  I am also excited about seeing Denzel hook up with Tony Scott since they teamed up Crimson Tide, one of my all time favorite movies. (They also teamed up for Man on Fire, but that movie was just okay.)  So I’m hoping that this is more like Crimson Tide than Man on Fire.  The trailer does look pretty intense.  Thanks Flickcast for the heads up.

The quality is okay, but it should be good enough for Smallville fans.

Maybe it’s just me, but I do want to see this movie. Could it be nostalgia? Probably, but I bet it’s going to be fun.

In protest of the recent immigration law passed in Arizona, Robert Rodriguez released a NSFW trailer for Machete, starring Danny Trejo.  The movie opens September 3.  To be honest, I wasn’t particularly looking forward to this movie until I saw the cast list.  Where else can you find, Lindsey Lohan, Steven Seagal, Robert Dinero, Jeff Fahey, Jessica Alba, Don Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, and Cheech Marin all kicking around in the same movie.  Remember, this trailer is NSFW, R-rated, with some strong language and violence.

Not that I’m a huge fan of the Twilight Saga, but I do realize how popular the series is.  I didn’t care too much for Twilight, but I thought New Moon was a vast improvement as far as writing, acting, editing, special effects, etc. etc.  The clips and trailers I have seen so far has shown me that the producers either figured out what was missing in Twilight or got enough money to get it right.  Either way, this movie looks pretty good.

Warner Brothers calls it "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind."

It looks like a cross between Matrix and Dark City.  I honestly don’t know what to make of this preview.  But the fact that it’s directed by Christopher Nolan and has Leonardo Dicaprio, Marion Cotillard, and Ken Watanabe, all Oscar nominees, makes me very interested.

Finally, we get to see a glimpse of what all the hoopla is about.  At first glance, it looks good.  Okay, maybe better than good.  It seems as though James Cameron has once again topped himself.
